Rajasthan is reeling under an intense heatwave, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an Orange Alert for severe conditions and possible dust storms in coming days. Sri Ganganagar recorded the highest at 47°C, while Kota saw 33.6°C night temperature and Sirohi dipped to 22.8°C. Officials said most parts will see 44–46°C, rising up to 48°C in border areas of western Rajasthan on May 27–28. Residents are advised to take precautions during peak afternoon hours.
