In a major breakthrough against maritime drug trafficking, the Indian Coast Guard and Gujarat ATS seized around 115 kg of cocaine near the Mundra coast during an overnight joint operation between May 25 and 26. The operation was launched after intelligence inputs, leading to surveillance near the MV Europe vessel anchored about five nautical miles from the coast. Officials found suspicious activity as several bags were dumped into the sea at night, and five bags were recovered in difficult low-visibility conditions.
