MLA Veerendra Pappi sent to judicial custody

ED continues probing MLA Veerendra Pappi’s alleged links to illegal betting networks and financial transactions.

The Special Court of People’s Representatives in Bengaluru has ordered judicial custody for MLA Veerendra Pappi until September 22 in connection with an ongoing illegal online betting investigation. The decision follows a court hearing today when Pappi was produced before the special court by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials.

During the proceedings, the ED did not request custody through their reminder application. As a result, the court directed that Pappi be remanded to judicial custody for 14 days while investigations continue.
