BBMP commissioner holds review meeting to speed up civic works

BBMP aims to boost efficiency, accountability, and coordination for faster delivery of city services.

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner Rajendra Cholan chaired a review meeting at the central BBMP office this morning to discuss key civic issues and streamline administrative operations. The meeting brought together senior engineers and officials from various departments, including revenue, works, finance, health, and electricity. During the discussions, the commissioner emphasized the importance of improving efficiency across departments to ensure timely delivery of services to citizens. He reviewed the progress of ongoing civic projects, directed officials to address bottlenecks, and called for better coordination between engineering and administrative wings.

Cholan also stressed the need for accountability and transparency in all civic-related matters. He instructed revenue officers to expedite pending cases, urged the works department to ensure the quality and speed of infrastructure projects, and directed health officials to be prepared for any emergency response in the city.

The commissioner highlighted that Bengaluru, being a rapidly growing metropolis, requires proactive planning and quick execution of civic initiatives. He assured that the BBMP would adopt a results-oriented approach to address citizens’ grievances and improve the city’s infrastructure. Officials present at the meeting expressed commitment to work collectively under the commissioner’s guidance. The review meeting is expected to bring momentum to several pending projects and strengthen coordination among departments, ultimately aiming to provide better civic amenities for Bengaluru residents.
