People are thronging beach at Malpe near here in search of gold amidst the garbage that has washed ashore.
This sight is very common during monsoon. More than 35 lac tourists visit Malpe beach every year. Many lose golden ornaments while playing or swimming in water. In certain religious traditions, gold is also put into the sea.
The gold and silver ornaments lost or put in the sea by the tourists gets washed ashore during monsoon along with the heap of garbage due to the high waves. These waves bring out everything at the bottom of the sea and put them on the shore.
So it is very common to see locals searching for gold and silver ornaments. But no one discloses whether they have got such ornaments or not. Secrecy is maintained in this business too like others.
