Burglars Disguised As Maids, Bombay Women Gang Arrested

The Hennur Police have busted the notorious Bombay Lady Gang who used to advertise for housework on the social networking site Facebook and steal houses when the owners are not present.
Maharashtra-based Vanita, Mahadevi and Priyanka are arrested criminals, from whom 250 grams of gold and 100 grams of silver have been confiscated. Mahadevi, one of the accused, had posted a post in the Refer House Maids Bengaluru public group of a Facebook group of women who had come to the city last month in the name of Subbalakshi and was available for housework. Arvind from Hennur saw this and contacted her. After working like this for three days, he saw the time when no one was at home, snatched the gold jewellery and ran away.Inspector Vasanth Kumar, who registered a case in this regard, succeeded in arresting Kakhiyas in Mumbai on the basis of captured CCTV footage and mobile number.
During the inquiry, it was found that Mahadevi had made a fake Aadhaar card claiming to be from Dakshina Kannada district in the Facebook group. Eastern Division DCP Bhimashankar Guled informed that the number posted was a stolen mobile number.It is said that they were the first thing the Mumbai police were looking for when it was stolen by domestic workers. There are about 36 cases against him in Mumbai alone.
The police said that the gang used to pay commission to the security guards in Mumbai to do domestic work and continued the same trick here as well.
