Rhea Chakraborty has been offered a Bengali film by producer Rana Sarkar. According to him, the actress perfectly fits the role he has offered her in the film.
In an interview with a news portal, Rana said that they have a ready script and she fits perfectly well with one of the lead characters. It is a story of betrayal. The producer also added that Rhea speaks good Bengali and that will help as he has seen her performances.
Talking about her controversial past, Sarkar added that Rhea’s career is being jeopardised for no fault of her. According to him, she went through a lot of trouble and she is also not getting roles in Mumbai. He also went on to say that the actress has been haunted for being someone’s girlfriend and for being Bengali. He concluded by saying that the actress deserves better.
Rhea was last seen in Rumy Jafry’s Chehre which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. The film also featured Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza and others in key roles. It was received with mixed reactions from the audience and critics alike.
