Social activist Sanna Babu has alleged serious irregularities in the construction of a drinking water tank in Ward No. 19 of Raichur city. Addressing a press conference, he demanded disciplinary action against the officials responsible for the project, claiming that the work was not executed as per approved estimates and specifications. He alleged poor-quality construction, including incomplete plastering, inadequate structural height, and improper curing. He also claimed that painting and finishing works were neglected. According to him, several pipelines connected to the tank have already developed cracks, leading to water leakage. Sanna Babu further alleged corruption in the execution of the project and said repeated complaints had been ignored by authorities. He warned of a city-wide protest if immediate corrective action is not taken, as residents of Wards 19 and 20 depend on the tank for drinking water supply.
