Silver worth ₹1.2 crore stolen from jewellery shop in Bengaluru

Thieves allegedly stole silver ornaments worth around ₹1.20 crore after breaking into a jewellery shop by drilling through a wall in north Bengaluru, police said. The burglary took place at MB Jewellers near Havanur close to Dasarahalli’s Eighth Mile area. According to police, the accused first entered a room behind the jewellery shop and later broke through the wall to gain access to the store. Around 70 kg of silver items were reportedly stolen in the incident. Bagalgunte Police Station officials visited the spot and launched an investigation. Police are examining CCTV footage and studying the methods used by the burglars. A case has been registered and efforts are underway to trace the accused.
