Hanagal

Efforts are being made to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to agricultural pump sets during the summer season in Hanagal taluk. MLA Srinivas Mane has asked HESCOM officials to replace burnt transformers with new ones so that farmers do not face difficulties. He reviewed the situation in a meeting held at the public relations office and discussed steps to improve the power supply system.

Officials were instructed to upgrade power stations in Bammanahalli and Belgalpet villages at the earliest. The MLA also directed that the tender process for the 110 KVA power station in Gondi village should be completed quickly. He asked officials to submit proposals for additional electrical equipment so that farmers and residents benefit in phases. It was also directed that gram panchayats should bear fifty percent cost of street light switch line installation work. Steps should be taken to resolve all electricity-related complaints on priority to avoid inconvenience to the public. He also instructed officials to address land requirement issues for upgrading power stations with the concerned authorities.

HESCOM AEE V S Marigoudra and Assistant Accountant Manjunath attended the meeting. Authorities said that resolving power issues before peak summer demand is a top priority for the administration. Farmers were assured that continuous monitoring will be done and immediate action will be taken on any reported faults without delay. Officials will inspect works regularly soon.
