Grassroots workers key to BJP’s victory: Raju Gowda

Yadgir

Former Minister and BJP State Vice President Narasimh Nayak (Raju Gowda) said that the hard work of grassroots-level party workers will be crucial for the BJP’s success in upcoming elections.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Prashikshan Mahabhiyan-2026 programme organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party Hunasagi Mandal of Surpur Assembly constituency at Neelakantheshwara Kalyana Mantapa in Hunasagi town, held to mark the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya.

Raju Gowda said that Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy of Antyodaya—upliftment of the last person in society—continues to guide the BJP. He added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has strengthened economic and technological ties with countries such as Japan and those in Europe, while focusing on the welfare of common people and farmers, thereby enhancing the nation’s global standing.

Criticising the present Congress Government, he alleged that there is no control over sand mafia activities and that development works have come to a standstill. He further claimed that road development has been neglected and that over ₹600 crore meant for development has lapsed. BJP District President Basavaraj Vibhutihalli said the party’s objective is to bring those at the last rung of society into the mainstream, in line with Deendayal Upadhyaya’s vision.

District General Secretary Mailappa Gulagi, in his introductory remarks, highlighted the party’s commitment to inclusive development without discrimination. Hunasagi BJP Mandal President Sanganna Sahukar Vali, former ZP member Basavaraj Swami Sthavaramath, Venugopal Jevargi and others were present at the event.
