Kalaburagi

As part of the Sri Siddalingeshwar Jatra Mahotsava held in Ravur village of Shahabad taluk, a food donation service was organised successfully at Basaveshwar Circle with participation from Gram Panchayat staff and local residents. The event was conducted as part of the traditional religious fair celebrations that draw devotees from surrounding areas.

Sri Siddalingeshwar Swamiji blessed the gathering and said that food donation is considered a noble act. He appreciated the Gram Panchayat staff for their service and encouraged them to continue such community welfare activities. He also formally inaugurated the food distribution programme.

During the event, Gram Panchayat officials highlighted the importance of cleanliness awareness among the public and urged people to maintain hygiene in villages and public places. They said such religious gatherings are also an opportunity to promote social responsibility.

Several local leaders and dignitaries attended the programme, including former Gram Panchayat president Sumitra Honnappa Tumkur, Ramachandra Rathod, and other staff members such as bill collectors and office employees. Village elders and residents also actively participated in the event and supported the arrangements.

Officials said the jatra not only serves as a religious celebration but also strengthens community bonding through service activities like food donation. The programme concluded with distribution of meals to devotees and visitors, marking a peaceful and well-organised celebration in Ravur village with cooperation from all sections of the local administration and public participants.
