New branch of the Dr. Channabasava Pattadevar Credit Co-operative Society was inaugurated at the DCC Bank premises in Hulasur town, marking the opening of its sixth branch. Speaking on the occasion, Anubhava Mantapa President Dr. Basavalinga Pattadevaru urged people to make the best use of the co-operative society’s services. He said that for the past two decades, the society has been working effectively across various towns in the district, providing financial assistance and contributing to the economic growth of weaker sections.
Drawing inspiration from Basavanna, he noted that the society has followed similar principles by supporting marginalized communities through loans and financial inclusion.
He appreciated the leadership of D. K. Sidram, stating that his experience has helped in running the institution efficiently without unnecessary expenditure. Addressing the gathering, Guru Basaveshwara Institution Math seer Dr. Shivanand Swamiji said the institution, which began as a vision of Pattadevaru, has now grown into a strong organization. He emphasized that timely repayment of loans by beneficiaries is crucial for the growth of any co-operative institution.
Society President D.K. Sidram said the institution, established in 2009, has grown to handle business worth over ₹1,000 crore and has not taken loans from any bank so far. He added that the society aims to support daily wage workers and people from all sections of society. The programme began with an introductory speech by Ganapatrao Bavge. PKPS Co-operative Society President Bhagavat Janaba and directors including Anil Bhoosare, Sudhir Kadadi, Lata Harakude, Vishwanath Kadadi, Suryakant Chillabatte, Basavaraj Kadale, Navanath Patil, Dr. Brahmanand Deshmukh, Sharad Durgale, Kanakadas Malleshi and Shivakumar Karakalle were present.
Sharanuppa Biradar welcomed the gathering, while Deepak Thamke compered the event.
