Speaking at the program, BAMUL Director H.N. Ashok emphasized that dairy farming has become a strong economic backbone for rural communities. He noted that livestock-based activities are no longer limited to subsistence but have evolved into a profitable and sustainable enterprise for farmers. According to him, the steady growth of milk production in Karnataka has significantly contributed to improving the financial condition of rural households.

Ashok credited government support and cooperative initiatives for the remarkable increase in milk production across the state. He pointed out that subsidies, scientific feeding practices, and better veterinary support have played a key role in enhancing productivity. These efforts have ensured that dairy farming continues to remain a reliable source of income for farmers, even during challenging agricultural seasons.

The cooperative society has been instrumental in providing a stable market for milk producers over the past 25 years. Farmers associated with the society benefit from timely payments, bonus incentives, and access to essential resources, which collectively strengthen their economic security. The society’s leadership highlighted that cooperative institutions play a vital role in rural development and act as lifelines for farming communities.

President K.S. Siddalingaprasad encouraged farmers to integrate dairy farming with agriculture to maximize their income. He stressed that giving equal importance to both sectors can help farmers achieve financial stability. He also urged them to make full use of government schemes and facilities available for dairy development.

Assistant Director Ajay Kumar underlined the importance of quality milk production. He advised farmers to ensure proper nutrition for cattle and adopt scientific methods to improve yield and maintain quality standards. He also mentioned that government incentives per litre of milk are helping generate self-employment opportunities in rural areas.

During the celebration, milk cans and nutritious cattle feed were distributed to farmers as part of the silver jubilee initiative. Several dignitaries, officials, and villagers attended the event, making it a memorable occasion that celebrated the achievements and future potential of the cooperative movement in the region.
