District in-charge Minister Sharanabasappa Gowda Darshanapura visited Naganoor village in Surapura taluk on Monday to console families after four children tragically drowned in a farm pond on Sunday.

During the visit, the minister met grieving relatives and offered heartfelt condolences. Emotional scenes unfolded as family members wept while recalling the tragic loss of their children.

Expressing sympathy, Darshanapura assured families of full government support during this difficult time. He personally provided ₹1 lakh to each affected family as immediate relief.

The minister also stated that the government would provide appropriate compensation to the bereaved families. He further emphasised that necessary measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future, aiming to ensure the safety of children near water bodies in the area.

The visit highlighted the government’s commitment to support victims’ families and take preventive actions to avoid such tragedies.
