Actress Meera Chopra made her debut at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. She was present at the event to promote her upcoming film Safed. In an interview, Meera revealed that she had a tough time sourcing her outfit for Cannes 2022.
Meera said that all the Indian designers wanted to give their outfits to Deepika Padukone or a bigger celebrity. She further said that there was a lot of pressure. She was anxious and she could not sleep for three or four nights when she was sourcing her clothes because she had the pressure on her head.
While talking to source, Meera said that going to the Cannes Film Festival was an overwhelming feeling because she didnt just go with some liquor brand, or just walk the red carpet for nothing. She added that there were a lot of people who were doing that. But she went there to promote her film, Safed, by launching the poster. Meera said that for her, it was more about connecting with people who were passionate about cinema and business rather than just looking pretty and walking the red carpet.
Meera said that her presence at the Cannes was about broadening the horizon, broadening the circle of networking and showcasing the talent. The actress agreed that being present at the Cannes Film Festival gives exposure to artists, as the whole world is watching them. However, she also feels that the whole exercise of getting dressed up, getting pictures clicked and giving it out on social media, has become cumbersome and tiresome.
