In the wake of heavy rains, citizens started to target BBMP regarding potholes across city. Hence, BBMP has begun to fill all the potholes across city from Monday. The works have been already started in every BBMP Zone, where the officials are told to complete the works on time.
The BBMP has taken the initiative to carry out road closures in the backdrop of decreasing rainfall. Surveyed by Fix My Street App, BBMP has detected dangerous 9207 potholes in the city and aims to close all the pits and build a button-free Bangalore.
It is noteworthy that most of the roadblocks were found in the eastern part of the city. A total of 2066 potholes have been found in the eastern zone, which is known to be an overcrowded area. Less than a thousand potholes have been found in the Dasarahalli, Yelahanka and Mahadevapura zones.
The contractors have been instructed to close the potholes already in five assembly constituencies. In the remaining 22 areas, it is decided to close the potholes. The public can be informed about fixing potholes in their areas through Fix My Street.
