Reacting to the statement of some activists that the government does not have guts, Bommai said that efficient and popular governance is important and the people also wish for the same.

At present we are in the preparation of Legislative council and Rajya sabha elections. High command have been informed about cabinet expansion and the core committee of the party is also completed. Other elections have to be conducted as per the orders of Supreme Court. It is hoped, considering all this, the high command may agree for cabinet expansion. In another 2-3 days, high command will be contacted over phone and as per the guidance will make preparations for the cabinet expansion. On giving minister post to Vijayendra by making him Legislative Council member is left to the discretion of the high command, he said.
Reacting to the statement of Minister HT Somashekar that operation lotus in old Mysuru region will be initiated, CM justified by saying that there will be several developments in politics.
