Rohit shared the joyous news on Instagram with a playful tribute to the famous sitcom Friends. He posted a photo with the caption, “The FAMILY, the one where we are four,” referencing the show’s iconic theme. The date “15.11.2024” in the post confirmed the birth of their newborn.
The couple’s first child, a daughter named Samaira, was born in 2018. The arrival of their second child has kept Rohit from traveling with the Indian cricket team to Perth for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar series against Australia. The series begins on Nov 22, with the first Test at Perth. It is still uncertain whether Rohit will participate in the opening match. Meanwhile, fellow cricketer KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty recently announced they are expecting their first child in 2025.
The highly anticipated India-Australia series includes five Tests, with the first match starting on Nov 22.
