In response to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah‘s allegations, former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai demonstrated evidence contradicting the claim about house construction in Shiggaon constituency.
Campaigning in Hiremannakatti village in Shiggaon taluk, Bommai presented proof by standing alongside a beneficiary whose house was constructed with a Rs 5 lakh grant during his tenure as Chief Ministe. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Tuesday had said in Huluguru that Basavaraj Bommai did not build a single house in Shiggaon. That is an outright lie. Here is proof in front of your eyes. In 2021-22, during the flood situation, around 300 houses were built in Hiremannakatti in Shiggaon taluk. Basavannemma Malappanavar built her house with a grant of Rs 5 lakh. On her house, she has written Blessings of parents, Jai Rayanna, Bommai said.
He said the BJP government constructed approximately 12,500 houses for flood-affected residents in Shiggaon constituency during 2021-22. He offered to provide photographic evidence of each constructed house. Stop telling lies, respect the position of Chief Minister, and speak truthful words that can be believed. Here is proof of my work, the MP said.
