The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has launched the ‘Digital India Innovation Zone’ pavilion at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, as announced by MeitY on Thursday. This pavilion is designed to provide delegates with hands-on experiences of India’s diverse Digital Public Infrastructure (DPIs), showcasing the country’s technological progress.

PM Modi inaugurated the 8th edition of IMC at Bharat Mandapam during the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) 2024 on Tuesday, where he also explored various exhibitions.

The MeitY pavilion features significant DPIs such as DigiLocker, Aadhaar, UPI, and eSanjeevani. Organizations like C-DAC, NIXI, and SAMEER have set up booths to highlight their contributions to India’s digital transformation. Visitors can interact with services at the UMANG booth, such as searching for blood banks and generating pensioner life certificates.

Highlights include an interactive DigiLocker game, NPCI’s Scan & Pay UPI feature, and demonstrations at the ONDC stall, showing the impact of ONDC in e-commerce. Other attractions include Digital India BHASHINI’s translation app ‘Baatcheet,’ eSanjeevani’s telemedicine services, and Aadhaar’s face authentication technology. The pavilion aims to educate global stakeholders on scalable projects that enhance the ease of living, doing business, and governance for citizens.
