Legal action will be taken against Gangavati MLA Janardhana Reddy who broke the etiquette and climbed the road divider and obstructed the traffic of the chief minister’s security and safety escort vehicle, said Koppal District In-Charge Minister Shivraj Thangadagi.

Speaking to media, he said, Zero traffic will be imposed on the Z-level security route on the route where the PM and the CM are traveling. Zero traffic was imposed when Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was going to Koppal via Gangavati. MLA Janardhana Reddy violated the rules and climbed the road divider. It is illegal to meet an escort vehicle on the route, he said.

Despite being stopped by the police, MLA Reddy has violated the security of the police. Even if there was a little something, an unimaginable disaster and danger would have happened. If something happened, who would be responsible for it, Thangadagi asked.

If a MLA in a responsible position behaves like this, what message will it send to the people? Isn’t Reddy also a person who has held the position of a minister in the past? He should have shown a little bit of responsibility in this regard. If a common man had done this, would he have been left alone? Ask the District Superintendent of Police, Gangavati DySP to look into the matter and take appropriate legal action. Notice has been given. Appropriate legal action will be taken against Reddy, he said.
