Congress leader Udit Raj reacted strongly on Monday to Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini’s remarks about Rahul Gandhi’s rallies in Haryana, questioning whether PM Modi settles down wherever he travels. He said, When Modi travels across the country, does he build a house in every place? He spends even less time there compared to Rahul Gandhi.
Earlier, Saini had claimed that his government was confident of winning a third term and referred to Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Sankalp Yatra’ in Haryana as ‘political tourism.’ Udit Raj criticized this view, stating that some people speak without thinking and emphasized that Rahul’s actions are similar to those of other leaders, including Modi.
He also challenged Saini’s claims that Rahul and Congress aim to abolish reservations, accusing BJP leaders of spreading falsehoods. They are completely lying, and there seems to be no end to their dishonesty, he said. Udit Raj added that Rahul Gandhi’s efforts forced PM Modi to discuss reservations, an issue previously avoided by the government. He praised Rahul for advocating for marginalized communities.
On Amit Shah’s criticism of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s comments, Udit Raj asserted that Kharge cares for the country and desires job creation and improved conditions for farmers. He expressed confidence that these changes could only happen if Modi is removed from power.
