Police have arrested T Santhosh (32), a resident of Mala, in connection with a theft that occurred on August 30 at Gurgaal Gudde in Mudaru village.
Gold ornaments weighing 33 sovereigns, worth Rs 10.05 lakh, were stolen from a Godrej locker in the bedroom of the house. The thief accessed the house using a key that was kept in a box outside. A complaint was filed at the rural police station.
A special team comprising Police Sub Inspectors Dileep, Sundara, and Police Constables Mahantesh, K Prashant, Shashikumar, Nagaraja, Govinda Achari, Raghavendra and Ashok was formed to apprehend the culprit. The team arrested the accused, Santhosh, and recovered all the stolen valuables, along with confiscating a motorcycle.
