Schedule announced for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the schedule for the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 on Sunday. The tournament will feature 16 teams and span 41 matches over 15 days, from January 18 to February 2, 2025, in Malaysia. An additional 16 warm-up games will be played from January 13 to 16 to prepare teams for the main competition.

Following the inaugural event in South Africa in 2023, where India emerged victorious over England, this edition will see Malaysia and Samoa make their debuts in the tournament.

The tournament kicks off with a triple-header on January 18. England faces Ireland and Pakistan plays the USA in Johor, while New Zealand meets South Africa and Samoa plays Africa’s Qualifier in Sarawak. In Selangor, Australia will play Scotland and Bangladesh will face Asia’s Qualifier.

Reigning champions India will start their campaign against the West Indies on January 19. The tournament format includes group stages followed by the Super Six stage from January 25, leading to the semi-finals and finals. If India advances to the semi-finals, they will compete in Semi-Final 2 on January 31.

Competition will be divided into four groups:

– Group A: India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia at Bayuemas Oval, Selangor.

– Group B: England, Pakistan, Ireland, and USA at Dato’ Dr. Harjit Singh Johor Cricket Academy, Johor.

– Group C: New Zealand, South Africa, Africa’s Qualifier, and Samoa at Borneo Cricket Ground, Sarawak.

– Group D: Australia, Bangladesh, Asia’s Qualifier, and Scotland at UKM YSD Oval, Selangor.
