Superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 60th birthday by unveiling the first look of his next film King, an action-packed thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. The film, set for release in 2026, stars Shah Rukh alongside his daughter Suhana Khan and long-time co-star Deepika Padukone. The project promises a thrilling mix of emotion, dual timelines, and multiple villains.
During a fan event in Mumbai, SRK shared exciting details about King and confirmed his on-screen chemistry with Deepika. Responding humorously to a fan’s comment, he said, Mere saath film mein Deepika Padukone bhi hai. Pyaar toh zaroor hoga! (Deepika is in the film with me, so love will definitely happen!).
The duo, known for blockbuster hits like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathaan, and Jawan, will reunite once again in what fans are calling one of Bollywood’s most anticipated films.
Speaking about the movie’s concept, Shah Rukh said, The idea behind King is that we often make big decisions when we take things personally. The film explores whether those choices are right or wrong. He also praised director Siddharth Anand, calling him very organised and wonderfully aesthetic.
The film’s ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Raghav Juyal. With its high-stakes action and emotional depth, King aims to redefine SRK’s image as a modern action hero while retaining his signature romantic charm.
