Members of Rashtriya Kisan Sangathan staged a protest in front of the district administration building near Devanahalli taluk on Wednesday, decrying what they describe as the dictatorial attitude of local officials.

The protest was sparked by the suspension of Kuduvanahalli Gram Panchayat PDO Mohan Kumar and President Sunandamma, allegedly for their refusal to cooperate with illegal activities orchestrated by district administration personnel. Krishnamurthy, secretary of Rashtriya Kisan Sangathan, attributed the suspensions to negligence and condemned what he called a dictatorial approach by authorities.

According to Bhimaiah, National Vice President of Rashtriya Kisan Sangathan, the Nelamangala taluk unit officials have been accused of threatening revenue department officers and facilitating land grabbers with falsified documents in exchange for bribes. He further alleged misuse of administrative powers and criticized the district administration for shielding irregularities despite multiple government directives for corrective action.

The protesters demanded accountability from district and taluk-level officials, including the Chief Minister, district collector, CEO, and tehsildar, for their alleged inaction in addressing these grievances. They specifically highlighted the role of Manoj, a First Class Assistant in the Doddaballapur Sub Divisional Officer’s office, whom they accuse of unilateral decision-making and unauthorized dealings.

National Kisan Organization State President Vijay Kumar, General Secretary Girish, Secretary Anand, Organizing Secretary Manjunath Gowda and others were present.
