PM Praises Global Success Of Araku Coffee, Highlights Socio-Economic Impact On Tribal Families

In his 111th episode of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, the global presence of local Indian products was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Araku coffee, cultivated in large quantities in Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sita Rama Raju district, was highlighted for its rich flavour and aroma. PM Modi noted the socio-economic impact of Araku coffee, mentioning its association with about 1.5 lakh tribal families. He acknowledged the role of the Girijan cooperative in elevating the status of Araku coffee and increasing farmers’ incomes significantly.

PM Modi recalled tasting Araku coffee in Visakhapatnam with Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Garu and mentioned its global awards and popularity at the G-20 summit in Delhi. He also praised snow peas from Jammu and Kashmir for gaining international recognition. PM Modi cited the recent milestone where the first consignment of snow peas from Pulwama was sent to London, highlighting Abdul Rashid Mir’s initiative in cultivating snow peas, which are now reaching London from Kashmir.

The efforts of local farmers in bringing these products to global markets were underscored by PM Modi as examples for the entire country to emulate.

PM Releases 3 Books On Life & Journey Of Former VP Venkaiah Naidu

Three books on the life of former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu were released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing ahead of Naidu’s 75th birthday. The books include a biography titled ‘Venkaiah Naidu – Life in Service’ by S Nagesh Kumar, a photo chronicle titled ‘Celebrating Bharat – The Mission and Message of M Venkaiah Naidu’, and a pictorial biography in Telugu titled ‘Mahaneta – Life and Journey of M. Venkaiah Naidu’ by Sanjay Kishore.

PM expressed confidence that these books will inspire people and illuminate the path to serving the nation. He noted his long association with Naidu and praised his dedication during challenging times, including his role in government and Parliament. PM Modi concluded by congratulating Naidu on his 75th birthday and expressing hope for India’s development by 2047.
