National Award-winning playback singer Rekha Bhardwaj lent her voice to ‘Nikat’, a song from the upcoming movie ‘Kill’. Rekha describes the track as a nourishing source of energy that evokes deep emotions.
‘Nikat’ is the second song from ‘Kill’, following ‘Kaawaa Kaawaa’. It is composed by Haroon Gavin with lyrics by Siddhant Kaushal. The song portrays the deep longing to be near a loved one, emphasizing the inescapable nature of love.
Reflecting on the song, Rekha said, ‘Kill’ is special not only for the praise it has received but also for its unique storyline. ‘Nikat’ is more than a song; it’s an emotion and a powerful energy source. We hope it crosses boundaries and touches hearts with its profound emotion and vitality.
Lyricist Siddhant Kaushal added that ‘Nikat’ captures the intense feeling of wanting to be close to someone you love, aiming to resonate with anyone who has experienced deep love.
Composer Haroon Gavin shared that working with Rekha Bhardwaj on ‘Nikat’ was enriching. Their goal was to create music that resonates deeply, capturing intimacy and reflection through melody and lyrics. He praised Rekha’s evocative voice for bringing the song’s narrative to life.
‘Kill’, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and produced by Karan Johar, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Apoorva Mehta, and Achin Jain, stars Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya, and Tanya Maniktala. It is set to release on July 5.
