‘Kalki 2898 AD’, a star-studded multilingual 3D film, has earned Rs 415 crore within three days of its global release, the makers announced on Sunday. The film, which blends the Hindu epic Mahabharata with science fiction, is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and was released on Thursday in six languages Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie features an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. The official page of the movie shared the box office update on X.
On its opening day, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ earned Rs 191.5 crore GBOC and added Rs 107 crore on Friday. For its third day, the film collected Rs 152.5 crore on Saturday.
Prathyangira Cinemas reported that ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is running houseful in North America, grossing USD 9.4 million at the local box office. Previously titled ‘Project K’, the film is considered the most expensive feature in Indian cinema history with a budget of Rs 600 crore. The cast also includes Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana.
