The postponement of the NEET-PG 2024 exam by the Union government has drawn strong condemnation from Ajay Kamath, State Secretary of AIDSO Karnataka. Expressing deep concern, Kamath highlighted the distress caused to over 2.5 lakh candidates, many of whom are practicing doctors. The sudden change, marking the fourth rescheduling of the exam date, has disrupted their meticulously planned preparations and travel arrangements to exam centers.

AIDSO has voiced serious reservations about the administration’s handling of the NEET-PG 2024 schedule, citing a perceived pattern that suggests irregularities. Kamath underscored similar issues plaguing other national exams like UGC-NET and CSIR-NET, which have faced cancellations and postponements. These developments have fueled widespread protests against what the organization has labeled the ‘NEET-UG 2024 scam’.

In response, AIDSO has demanded the immediate resignation of the Union Health and Education Ministers. They have also called for a high-level judicial inquiry into alleged malpractices surrounding NEET-UG, UGC-NET, CSIR-UGC-NET, and NEET-PG. AIDSO insists that those implicated in these controversies should face stringent legal repercussions.
