Must read

Ragihalli village, located near Bannerghatta Biological Park, is tense following sightings of a large crocodile near Muthurayaswamy temple. Concerns are rising about the safety of temple-goers and residents.

The Railway Infrastructure Development Company Limited (K-Ride), tasked with implementing the suburban rail project, has initiated tender invitations in two phases for constructing 12 stations along the Mallige route (Biyappanahalli-Chikkabanavara). The first phase includes Benniganahalli (Baiyappanahalli), Kasthurinagar, Sevanagar, Banasavadi, Nagawara, Kanakanagar, Hebbala, and Mattikere stations. The second phase encompasses Yesvanthpur, Shettyhalli, Maidarhalli, and Chikkabanavara stations. The project aims for completion within 24 months.

The selected agency will be responsible for designing entrance/exit gates, steel steps on bridges, roof structures, architectural aspects, and station facades. Tenders were initially invited in 2023 for the Mallige Marg stations, but only one organization participated, bidding Rs 800 crore. However, the tender process was annulled due to bids exceeding the estimated amount.
