A local court in the city has granted bail to Telugu actress Hema, who was arrested on June 3 in connection with the rave party case.
Hema’s lawyer, Mahesh Kiran Shetty, argued that no drugs were found on her and that medical tests were conducted ten days after the incident. He pointed out that the police did not provide any evidence proving she consumed drugs.
In contrast, the Crime Control Bureau (CCB) lawyer presented evidence of her involvement in the party to the court. After considering both arguments, the judge granted conditional bail to Hema.
Hema was initially placed in judicial custody for 14 days following her arrest at a rave party during a raid by Bengaluru Police at GR Farmhouse. After her arrest, she posted a video on social media claiming she was in Hyderabad at the time, maintaining her innocence throughout the legal proceedings.
The arrest significantly impacted her career, leading to the Movie Artistes Association canceling her membership. While the bail offers some relief, Hema remains focused on clearing her name and resuming her career.
This development marks a crucial moment in Hema’s legal battle as she continues to fight to prove her innocence and restore her reputation in the industry.
