A shocking incident occurred in Muddebihal town where a young man was set on fire by his girlfriend’s family. The attack took place when Rahul Raman Gowda Biradara visited the house of his girlfriend, Aishwarya Madari. The family members of Aishwarya, including her uncle Muthu Madari, aunt Seema Madari, and worker Neelkantha Harana, poured petrol on Rahul and set him ablaze. This incident has left the community in shock.
Rahul, from Dhavalgi village, sustained severe head injuries and 80 percent burns. He is currently being treated in the ICU of a private hospital. Muthu Madari, Seema Madari, and Neelkantha Harana also sustained burn injuries and are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Vijayapura. While Seema is out of danger, Muthu and Neelkantha are in serious condition.
Complaints and counter-complaints have been filed at the Muddebihal police station by both parties involved. Basavan Bagewadi DySP Balappa Nandagaon, Circle Inspector Mallikarjuna Tulseigeri, and ASIs Sanjay Thippardy and SR Nayaka visited the scene and began the investigation. A special team from Vijayapur collected evidence, including fingerprints, from the crime scene.
The investigation aims to determine the exact sequence of events and who initiated the attack. Aishwarya and Rahul had been in a relationship for 5-6 years, but their affair had been on hold since Aishwarya’s rejection last year. This led to a cut-off in their connection, which reportedly made Rahul angry. The police investigation will reveal further details about the motives behind this violent incident.
