Accusing successive governments of neglecting the perennial issue of flooding during the rainy season, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State Organizing Secretary Mohan Dasari spoke out on Saturday. Despite repeated assurances and promises from various administrations, the problem persists, exacerbated by unchecked encroachments on Rajkaluves.
Dasari said that attempts by AAP to highlight the imminent flood risks through correspondence with state officials have fallen on deaf ears. He condemned the government’s inaction, denouncing it as irresponsible and negligent.
Drawing attention to past commitments made by the Congress government, He criticized DCM D.K. Sivakumar’s pledge to transform Bangalore into a brand city, alleging that the administration prioritizes corporate interests over public welfare.
Further, He highlighted instances of alleged malpractice, pointing out the transfer of Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) complexes to private entities and the exploitation of public resources for personal gain.
Bangalore City President Satish Kumar lamented the government’s lack of coordination and accused the Deputy Chief Minister of dictatorial behavior. He called for swift action to address the city’s pressing issues, advocating for prompt Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections to ensure resident representation.
