Must read

Mangaluru

The Bunts community has been subjected to injustice in the reservation system. Despite being eligible for inclusion in Category 2(A) of the state’s reservation list, the community has been placed in Category 3(B). This misplacement has resulted in the loss of benefits in education, employment, social, and political spheres, said Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai, president of the Bunts Yane Nadavara Matru Sangha.

He was speaking during the 103rd Annual General Body Meeting of the Bunts Matru Sangha. We, as a global organisation, are now working to collect comprehensive information about the cultural, social, economic, educational, occupational, marital, health, housing, religious, and overall life systems, as well as other conditions, of the Bunt community residing globally under the name Bandhavya. This data will be used to create a World Bunt Information Repository, which will have a profound and far-reaching impact. The purpose is to gather the necessary information to include the community in the central govt’s reservation list and to move the Bunt community from Category 3(B) to Category 2(A) in the state’s reservation list, bringing the community’s true situation to the govt’s attention. The repository gathers comprehensive information about Bunts living worldwide.  This repository will enable community members to access comprehensive information about Bunts from any corner of the world through social media platforms, said Rai.
