AIDSO Secretary Urges Government To Heed Majority Opinion On CET Crisis

Ajay Kamath, the State Secretary of AIDSO, has appealed to the government to prioritize the concerns of the majority of stakeholders regarding the ongoing CET crisis. Reports from Bengaluru indicate that the government panel formed to address the situation is considering a reexamination of KCET due to numerous complaints about out-of-syllabus questions during the exams held on April 18 and 19.

Kamath’s statement comes in the wake of widespread opposition from students, parents, and educators against the proposed retest. Many have argued that considering the pressure of impending exams like NEET, subjecting students to another round of testing would only exacerbate their mental stress.

Furthermore, despite the passage of 10 days since the incident, there has been no clarity on who should be held accountable for the oversight that led to the crisis. The lack of accountability has only added to the frustration of those affected.

Kamath’s appeal calls upon the government to listen to the voices of the majority and refrain from conducting a reexamination. He also urges the student community to remain united in addressing the challenges posed by the current situation.
