CID Officials Visit Neha Hiremath’s House, Collection Of Info From Parents

CID officials are visiting the house of murdered Neha Hiremath and getting information. Officers led by CID Superintendent of Police Venkatesh arrived at Neha Hiremath’s house and are conducting an investigation. Officials arrived at the residence in Bidnala of the city, interrogated father Niranjan Hiremath and mother Geeta Hiremath and are conducting a house check.

Neha Hiremath, a student, was murdered on the evening of April 18 in the campus of BVB College, Hubli. The accused Fayaz has been arrested by the police. A special team was formed to find the accused. Protests continue across the state condemning this murder. On Monday, the government handed over the case to the CID for investigation and issued an order.

The CID officers who have detained the accused Fayaz for questioning yesterday brought the accused to the college premises where the murder took place and tortured him. CID took custody of the accused from Dharwad Central Jail on Wednesday. The CID team had applied to the JMFC court to hand over the accused Fayaz to their custody for complete information collection. In this background, the accused has been handed over to CID custody for 6 days. A team led by Superintendent of Police Venkatesh has started investigating the case from Tuesday.
