The Election Commission and the government work to create awareness among the people about the voting process which is the lifeblood of the democratic system. However, as the elections are approaching, this awareness work is turning into a social service.

Relatives, well-wishers, relatives and friends who came for the wedding reception at the Goddess Durga temple community hall in  a village near Gangavati have raised awareness about the voting of the newly wedded bride and groom.

Former member of Municipal Council B Ashok Tiger’s daughter Aishwarya was married to Adoni Veeranjaneya. On Wednesday, a reception was held at the community hall where the newlyweds spread awareness about voting.

A country changes when voting is celebrated, the future of our country lies in voting. Vote as a true citizen of the country, your vote, your voice, come together and vote with placards and spread awareness.

District Voting Awareness Ambassador Dr. Sivakumar Malipatil said, the election is the biggest festival of the democratic system. We should fulfill our duties and responsibilities by voting in the festival. Everyone should vote without fail. We should not be lured or pressured during the voting. The constitution has given us the right to vote for the person we think is worthy. The hope of the constitution should be preserved through voting, he said.
