The much-anticipated Telugu version of the Kannada film “Marakastra,” starring the versatile Malashree and directed by Guru Murthy has been released. Originally filmed in Kannada as “Marakastra,” the movie gained significant acclaim upon its release last year, capturing the hearts of Kannadigas. Now, it’s set to enthrall Telugu audiences as “Maranayudham.”

Already released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film received a warm reception among the local audience. The film is now scheduled for simultaneous release again in Telugu and Kannada on April 26 in Karnataka. The filmmakers expressed their excitement about presenting the movie to audiences in both languages.

Speaking about the release, members of the film’s crew shared their thoughts. Producer Raj said, “We released ‘Marakastra’ last year but due to various events like the India-Pakistan cricket and festivals, footfall was affected. However, the distributor Venkatesh Rao suggested releasing it in Telugu, and we are excited to bring ‘Maranayudham’ to Karnataka on April 26.”

Director Guru Murthy Sunami added, “When we released ‘Marakastra’ last year, we faced some delays, but now we’ve managed to trim the film by 26 minutes. Artists like Malashree, Anand Arya, and Harshika Poonacha have performed brilliantly.”

Malashree, who plays a pivotal role in the film, said, “Initially, I was hesitant to act in ‘Marakastra,’ but the directors narrated the story so well that I couldn’t resist. Despite facing some issues during filming, seeing the love for cinema from the directors made me happy. Telugu audiences have accepted my role, and I’m eagerly waiting for the Karnataka release on Friday.”
