The 16th edition of the World 10K Bengaluru is set to take place on Sunday, with a focus on community spirit and long-distance running. A record number of participants are expected at the Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Parade Ground. In this event, amateur runners will act as pacers, assisting others to meet their goals. Once again, only women will make up the pacer group. Their role involves setting and maintaining a steady pace and offering guidance and support to competitors.
Captain Asmita Handa, a fitness enthusiast and aviation professional, expressed her pride in leading the 59-minute bus. She sees it as a big responsibility, akin to guiding a ship or plane. She emphasized the importance of being there for the runners both before and during the run.
