Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) Chairman, V Ram Prasath Manohar, issued directives to board officials during a meeting held on Monday at the water board’s headquarters.
With the Ugadi and Ramzan festivals approaching this week, Chairman Manohar highlighted the importance of ensuring that city citizens do not encounter water scarcity during the festivities. He instructed officers and staff to be available for emergency duties on a rotational basis during festival days.
To address the heightened demand for water during festivals, particularly in densely populated areas, Chairman Manohar instructed the provision of additional water supply through Syntex tanks. Mentioning proactive measures, he directed officials to increase the frequency of tank refills, ensuring that tanks are replenished twice instead of once during festival periods.
Principal Chief Engineer Suresh, Chief Engineers L.Kumaranayake, K.N.Paramesh, S.V.Venkatesh, A.Rajasekhar, Mahesha K.N., Rajeev K.N., Gangadhar B.C Devaraju M and others were present.
