Bangalore City CCB Anti-Narcotics Squad, a foreign national was arrested for trafficking MDMA crystals, with a street value of Rs 4 crores.
Acting on information provided by an informant, officers conducted a raid at a residence within the jurisdiction of Bagalgunte Police Station. The raid resulted in the arrest of the suspect, who was found in possession of 4 kg of MDMA crystals.
The arrested individual, identified as a foreign national, had reportedly acquired the prohibited substance from overseas drug peddlers at a discounted rate. Upon arrival in Bengaluru, the suspect sold the MDMA crystals to known customers, including students and employees, at exorbitant prices ranging from 8 to less than 10 thousand rupees per gram.
The operation, conducted under the provisions of the NDPC Act, underscores law enforcement’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring public safety.
The arrest of the foreign national involved in MDMA crystal trafficking reflects the diligent efforts of the CCB’s Anti-Narcotics Squad in curbing illegal drug activities within the city.
