Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot emphasized that Lord Ram belongs to everyone and cannot be monopolized by any party, including the BJP. He asserted that the upcoming Lok Sabha polls under the banner of the INDIA bloc will prioritize people’s issues over emotive ones. Pilot expressed confidence in the bloc’s ability to secure a majority in forming the next government.

Pilot criticized the BJP’s slogan of 400 paar as arrogant, calling for a focus on the government’s performance over the last decade. He highlighted concerns about the Income Tax department’s actions against the Congress, describing them as unprecedented and detrimental to democracy.

Regarding the election agenda, Pilot stressed the importance of addressing current and future challenges faced by the nation, such as the erosion of constitutional institutions and economic issues. He rejected the notion of elections being centered on religious or divisive themes, advocating instead for a focus on economic policies, job creation, and agricultural support.

Pilot also discussed the significance of the Ram temple issue, emphasizing that its construction was based on the SC’s verdict, which was accepted by all parties. He cautioned against exploiting religious sentiments for political gain and urged for a fair electoral process focused on the welfare of citizens.
