Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency candidate and former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday visited Sri Nanjundeshwara Swamy temple popularly known as Dakshinakashi and offered special rituals.
During every election, the entire family, including JD(S) party Chief HD Deve Gowda, visited Sri Nanjundeshwara Swamy temple and taken darshan of the deity and then engages in election work. He was suffering from a heart-related problem and recently recovered after undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. And now visited temple and performed the Tulabhara service.
They also visited Parvathamma, Chandikeshwara, Ganapati and Subrahmanya in the temple premises and prayed for fulfilment of their wishes. At this time MLA GT Deve Gowda, JD(S) District President Narasimhamurthy and many others were present.
HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday participated in the first core committee meeting of the BJP-JD(S) held at a private hotel. HD Kumaraswamy, BJP State President BY Vijayendra, MLA GT Deve Gowda, former Deputy Chief Minister Ashwath Narayana, MP Pratap Sinha, Mysuru BJP candidate Yaduveer Wodeyar and local MLAs were present in the meeting.
