Former Minister MP Renukacharya has raised an objection about giving Davanagere Lok Sabha Ticket to MP Siddeshwara family. He has also warned that if tickets are issued regardless of opposition, he will have to face rebellion.
Talking to media persons on Wednesday, he said that there is opposition from the workers and leaders of the constituency to give BJP ticket to Siddeshwar. He insisted that the ticket should be given to Dr Ravikumar, son of former Jagaluru MLA Gurusiddana Gowda, as per the wishes of the people of district.
Siddeshwara, who has been elected four times, is full of pride. He complained that the men contesting in front of the Shamanur family of the Congress have neglected the party by questioning who is in the BJP. His family members have never carried the party flag. There is no sloganeering. How can you give tickets to such people, he questioned.
Siddeshwar, who previously defeated BJP candidates in 7 seats of the district, should be blamed for the defeat of the 2023 assembly elections. It is everyone’s wish that PM Modi should become the Prime Minister of the country for the third time. He insisted that BJP should end family politics of the district as per Modi’s wish.
