In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BJP is planning to send around 10,000 people from 18 assembly constituencies in the district to Ayodhya. According to Rajya Sabha Member Iranna Kadadi, the Hindu devotees would be sent to Ayodhya by special trains.
The party is taking 10,000 workers from the district to Ayodhya in wake of the installation of idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. BJP is determined to win all 28 seats in the state in Lok Sabha elections and are holding the leaders accountable.
The former BJP MLA said that thousands of people are ready to go to Ayodhya from different parts of the district.  There are about 36 lakh voters in the district. Activists and voters from each assembly constituency will be sent to Ayodhya. Accommodation will be arranged for their stay in Ayodhya. A list of people going to Ayodhya will be prepared at the constituency level, he said.

It is BJP’s resolve to make Ayodhya darshan free for all kar sevaks and devotees who fought for Ram Mandir, he said.
About 500 to 600 workers may be selected from each constituency. The first trip to Ayodhya has been planned in the first week of February and the initiative will be completed by the second week of March when the Model Code of Conduct will come into effect. The pilgrims will be briefed about the achievements of Modi government and the Ram Mandir movement, he said.

In view of the increasing demand of devotees, the South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the operation of Astha Express special trains from major railway stations, starting from January 31. The first train from Belagavi will leave on February 17 at 10.35 am. The train will reach Ayodhya at 11.30am on February 19. The train will leave Ayodhya at 10.00 pm on February 20 and reach Belagavi at 4.45 pm on February 22. The train will cover a distance of about 2,462 kilometres in 57 hours.
