In view of emergency maintenance work on the state’s Information Technology (IT) systems, online electricity-related services offered by all five power distribution companies (Escoms) in Karnataka will remain unavailable from 8 pm on October 24 to 1 pm on October 25.
According to a release issued by the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM), services such as online bill payment, name transfer, tariff change, and new power connection applications will be temporarily suspended during this period.
The disruption will affect users accessing services through the official portals —
www.bescom.co.in, www.hescom.co.in, www.gescomglb.org, www.mescom.org.in, and www.cescmysore.in.
Additionally, online payment options via BESCOM Mitra app, Bangalore One, and Karnataka One, as well as other third-party payment platforms, will also be unavailable.
The maintenance shutdown will impact urban areas under all five Escoms:
- BESCOM: Bengaluru City and towns including Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Tumakuru, Davanagere, Ramanagara, and others.
- CESC: Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, and Kodagu districts.
- MESCOM: Mangaluru, Udupi, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and surrounding areas.
- GESCOM: Kalaburagi, Ballari, Raichur, Koppal, Yadgir, and Bidar regions.
- HESCOM: Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Haveri, Bagalkot, Karwar, and Vijayapura among others.
The authorities have urged consumers to complete any pending payments or applications before the scheduled maintenance window to avoid inconvenience. Regular online services will resume once system updates are completed on the afternoon of October 25.
