Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed India’s present-day youth as the most fortunate of the 21st century, envisioning their role in elevating the nation during the ‘Amrit Kaal’ or the 25-year period leading to India’s centenary of independence. Speaking at the 27th National Youth Festival, Modi urged the youth to actively participate in the electoral process to diminish the influence of dynastic politics, which he claimed had inflicted substantial harm on the country.

Emphasizing the significance of youth engagement in democracy, Modi asserted that first-time voters could infuse new energy into India’s democratic landscape. Encouraging active political participation, he highlighted the potential of the youth to reduce the impact of dynastic politics.

During the ‘Amrit Kaal,’ characterized by the government as a time when youth prioritize their responsibilities for societal and national progress, Modi urged young people to promote local products and steer clear of drugs. Referring to historical figures like Sri Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda, he expressed confidence in the youth’s ability to create history through commitment and intellect.

Modi also acknowledged India’s global standing, emphasizing its position among the top five economies and top three startup ecosystems. He urged citizens to undertake cleanliness campaigns ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister recognized the youth as brand ambassadors of yoga and Ayurveda, urging them to focus on developing and preserving India’s rich legacy. He called for expanding horizons, dreams, and contributing to the nation’s progress in the dynamic ‘Amrit Kaal.’
