Bailhongal Police Crack 10 Cases Of Theft, Two Arrested

Superintendent of Police Bhimashankar Guled said that a team of Bailhongal Police have cracked 10 cases of theft in areas surrounding the district. The cases were investigated thoroughly and two accused were arrested. The search for another absconding accused has been intensified. Police have seized approximately 300 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 15 lakh. Speaking to the media at the SP office, Bhimashankar said that a Police task force team has cracked the theft cases in the district. Deepak Pawar (22) and Rahul Gangadhar Jadhav (21) of Karat Mangool village in Maharashtra were arrested. These are the accused in 10 cases of theft that took place in the past two months in the jurisdiction of Bailhongal, Nesaragi, Hukkeri, and Sankeshwar Police stations. Noting the similarities in all these 10 cases, a task force was formed under the leadership of Bailhongal Circle Inspector of Police PV Salimath for the investigation. The team included Police Sub Inspector Mallikarjun Biradar, Gururaj Kalaburgi, Vithal Doddahonnappanavar, Shankar Menasinakayi, BS Yaragattimath, UH Pujeri, Chetan Budni, JR Malagali and AK Dombar. These accused have been arrested in the state of Maharashtra, he said.
